WVU Tech’s Rivera takes home RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – WVU Tech senior Coralys Maldonado Rivera led the Golden Bears at the net to claim River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week Aug. 30-Sept. 5.

The product of Puerto Rico recorded 43 total kills in four matches at the Rio Grande Emileigh Cooper Memorial Classic. That led WVU Tech to a 2-2 effort on the weekend. Maldonado Rivera averaged 2.53 kills per set while also totaling 11 digs, seven blocks and three service aces for the week.

WVU Tech is 3-6 and will play a tri-match at Montreat (N.C.) on Sept. 10.
